Activating a license key

Generally, Skills Base licenses are purchased via credit card from within the Skills Base app. However, if you have instead received a license key, you will need to activate it. Activating a license key is necessary to ensure the license is applied to the correct Skills Base instance (as some customers may have multiple instances).


Prerequisites

In order to activate a license key, you must first:

  1. Have received a license key.
  2. Have created a Skills Base instance for your organization. Creating an instance is easy and can be done via the following page: https://app.skills-base.com/org/join
  3. You must hold the "Administrator" Security Group within the destination Skills Base instance in order to activate a license key.


Activation

To activate your key:

  • Click "Admin -> Licensing" from the left hand menu
  • Click the "Activate license key" button
  • Enter the key and click "Activate"
