Keeping Skill Ratings up to date
To keep skill ratings current, Skills Base provides two methods that users can choose between:
- Assessment– A guided, step-by-step process used when entering skill ratings for the first time or when a more in-depth reassessment is needed. This is required if no ratings exist. Assessments are recorded in the "Assessments" tab for tracking purposes.
- Quick Review – A faster option found in the "Skills" tab. You can update any ratings directly on the screen, then click "Quick Review" to confirm and update the next review date.
Both methods keep skill data up to date, but only assessments are logged in the "Assessments" tab. This distinction helps the organization track when a full assessment was conducted versus a routine review.
Use assessments to establish or reassess skills, and use “Quick Review” to confirm or adjust existing ratings during regular review periods.
